Who are we?

Since 1920, we have been designing and manufacturing hacksaw frames for metals and manual bit brace drills. We are actually one of the world’s last remaining manufacturers.

We produce and sell under our own brand names SELOR and ARA or on behalf of leading brands of worldwide well-known professional tools.

We have managed to maintain our production in France, at Saint-Etienne, an historical area of national handtool manufacturing.

Our products are aimed as well at professionals as at DIY lovers who need a comfortable, long-lasting product to carry out a fast and clean work.

Thanks to our team’s dynamism, expertise and commitment  we have succeded in :

• getting numerous patents and registered designs which have made us famous in the sawing tools field
• diversifying in the sub-contracting machining area

Today, we have a CNC lathes fleet (from a mere 2-double axis to an 9-axis turning center) working in bar which allows us to meet a multitude of parts configuration as well for our hand tools customers as for our mechanical sub-contracting customers

• KOTIBE wooden handles, steel burnished body with massive brass parts, reversible ratchet actuated by a ring, available with 3 or 4 jaws, bearing-mounted for a more pleasant work
• Plastic handles, nickel-plated steel body, reversible ratchet actuated by a ring, available with 3 or 4 jaws, bearing-mounted for a more pleasant work
• Steel frame for stiffness covered by a plastic material, ergonomic and comfortable grip with soft elastomer, tension lever for a simple and quick blade change, preadjustment of tension using integrated wheel, 2 blade positions.
